I started writing freelance in the early 1990's for local newspapers coving town meetings and local events. The editor of The New Leader loved my work and soon hired me on as a staff writer. I covered interviews with local musicians and wrote reviews on plays and concerts in the area.
After a couple of years, I decided to start my own local magazine. Entertainment Source covered celebrity interviews, local news and events as well as interviews with local musicians and other artists.
I wore many hats working on Entertainment Source; writer, editor, ad rep, photographer, etc. I occasionally had guest writers, and my sister and niece usually helped me put the pages together, stapling the final magazine and distributing it to local businesses for people to read.
People loved what I was doing. I received several letters from readers saying how much they loved the celebrity interviews and local entertainment news, reviews and articles.
Unfortunately, I folded the magazine in the late nineties due to personal reasons.
I still freelance on occasion. Most recently I interviewed rock icon, Melissa Etheridge for Curve Magazine and Carol Burnette for my podcast (Entertainment Source Interviews).
Most of my time is now spent on paranormal research. I am currently writing a book about my paranormal experiences throughout my life.
