Although I have digital content of Entertainment Source, it was not the first time I had published the magazine. The first print issue of Entertainment Source was released in the early 1990’s. It has always been a free monthly publication covering news and entertainment both locally (central MA) and nationally.
I remember typing the first couple of issues on a typewriter and putting it together on a white board before sending it off to the printers; praying it would be legible after coming off the press. It looked pretty good for what I had to work with.
By the third issue I was doing everything on a computer which improved the quality and look tremendously.
I wore many hats working on Entertainment Source, writer, editor, ad rep, photographer, etc. I occasionally had guest writers, and my sister and niece usually helped me put the pages together, stapling the final magazine and distributing it to local businesses.
We started out with only 500 copies. Over a short time, we went to 1,000 copies, then 3,000. I was able to grow my advertising clientele bringing Entertainment Source up to 5,000 copies per month.
People loved what I was doing. I received several letters from readers saying how much they loved the celebrity interviews and local entertainment news, reviews and articles.
Unfortunately, I folded the magazine in the late nineties due to personal reasons. Ove the years I have thought about starting up again.
It became a monthly digital magazine and ran for a few months. I loved that I had the ability to go digital. I could do everything on my computer, and it is all right in front of me.
Soon after, I started getting involved in paranormal investigations (See the other links on this website for more information). I don’t have time to do both as I also work a full-time job. I still love writing and am currently working on a book about the paranormal experiences I have had throughout my life as well as my investigations.
Please check out my interviews (by clicking on the links below) that appeared in Entertainment Source (there are also links to some of the podcast episodes if you would like to listen to the interviews).
